Are you passionate about revitalising neighbourhoods and turning empty properties into welcoming homes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join our Local Authority client as a Voids Manager and make a real difference in the community. We are seeking a dedicated individual to oversee the management and refurbishment of vacant properties, ensuring they are transformed into vibrant spaces where residents can thrive.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of empty properties.
  • Manage the inspections of vacant properties to identify necessary repairs and improvements.
  • Liaise with contractors, maintenance teams, and external agencies to ensure a timely turnaround time.
  • Utilise digital tools and property management systems to track progress, maintain accurate records, and streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including residents and community groups, to understand their needs and address concerns.
  • Implement cost effective strategies to optimise resources and maximize the impact of refurbishment projects.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations during property inspections and refurbishments.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting project status, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and relevant legislation to ensure effective void management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in property management, maintenance and ideally void management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using digital tools, property management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and their application in property management.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A commitment to community development and improving the quality of housing.
