Braxfield are a specialist recruitment agency working within the property sector. We have been appointed by a G15 housing provider in London, who are looking to recruit an experienced Technical Programme Manager to work with the fire project team on an interim basis.

 

The successful candidate with ensure the housing provider are working to the appropriate technical standard for servicing, remedial or projects relating to existing stock.

 

You will have lead responsibility for individual project, particularly in relation to construction, fire safety and building services.

 

Other duties as a Technical Programme Manager will include:

 

  • Ensuring the programmes meet or exceed legislative and best practice requirements and is delivered to time, quality & cost.
  • Supporting the procurement of suitable contractors qualified to carry out construction or building services work that ensure compliance and value for money principles can be evidenced.
  • Ensuring any works required are adequately controlled, up to date and appropriate policy and procedures are in place.
  • Investigate problems, advise and liaise / assist as required.
  • Liaising with team members to ensure work is carried out in a risk proportionate and compliant way in line with service standards.
  • Managing the programme and day to day activities of passive fire safety contracts such that it demonstrates active contract, programme and risk management.
  • Ensuring all remedial works are evidenced as completed and that records are suitably updated.
  • Monitoring and managing appropriate measures for performance in terms of cost, quality of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to ensure suitable communications with residents and procedures for gaining access to properties.
  • Ensuring competent contractors are employed.
  • Providing technical advice with escalated issues and contractual disputes.
  • Ensuring that contractors, consultants and supply chain partners have effective systems in place to monitor and manage Health and Safety on site and are in line with Clarion HG’s Policy and Procedures.

 

To be considered for the position for Technical Programme Manager you must have the following:

 

  • Educated to Degree level or equivalent experience in relevant building services/construction.
  • Knowledge of legislation, regulations, COP particularly in relation to building services / construction.
  • Good general knowledge of Health and Safety within Property Management.
  • Working knowledge of current fire management legislation (Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) and associated guidelines.
  • Experience of managing multiple technical workstreams.
  • Experience of managing budgets.
