Stock Condition Surveyor
Location: Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire
Rate/Salary: £35-£38 Ltd umbrella per hour
Contract Type: Interim / Permanent (adjust as required)
About the Role:
Our client, a leading housing association, is seeking two experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to join their property services team for 6-9 months to assist them in completing a backlog of stock condition surveys. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional surveyor to play a key role in ensuring the organisation’s housing stock is safe, compliant and well-maintained. Appointments will be made by the scheduling team on behalf of the surveyors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out stock condition surveys across a diverse housing portfolio.
- Complete HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) assessments to identify hazards and ensure homes meet current housing standards.
- Record and update condition data accurately using handheld devices or surveying software.
- Provide technical advice and recommendations on repair, investment and improvement works.
- Liaise with residents and contractors in a professional and customer-focused manner.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Previous experience conducting stock condition surveys and HHSRS assessments within the social housing sector.
- Strong knowledge of building pathology, maintenance, and housing standards.
- Proficient in using surveying software and mobile data collection tools.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel across the region required).
