We are pleased to be working with a distinguished London based housing association that have a commitment to delivering safe, affordable and top-quality housing across London and the South East. The Housing Association is looking to appoint a permanent Senior Surveyor to lead their team of surveyors in managing significant building projects, including damp and mould remediation, cladding replacement and retrofit projects.
As the Senior Surveyor you will be instrumental in ensuring the major works projects are allocated appropriately across the team ensuring that the surveyors are meeting both time and monetary targets throughout the project lifecycle. You will take the reins in guiding the team of skilled surveyors and collaborating closely with various departments to ensure the successful execution of projects that improve the lives of residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Oversee major building projects, from initiation to completion, including damp and mould remediation, cladding replacement and retrofit projects.
Team Management: Manage and inspire a team of surveyors, offering guidance, support, and training to ensure the projects are a resounding success.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, placing a strong emphasis on health and safety.
Budget and Resource management: Effectively manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to achieve cost-effective and timely project delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external, including contractors, consultants and regulatory bodies to realise project objectives.
Quality Control: Uphold a high standard of workmanship and quality control throughout all projects, ensuring they align with industry best practices and resident satisfaction.
Experience & Qualifications:
Chartered or MCIOB or equivalent experience.
Demonstrated experience in managing major building projects, preferably within the housing sector.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
Proficiency in relevant building regulations and safety standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven budget management and resource allocation experience.
