Braxfield Recruitment have been approached by a London authority that are looking for a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer to join the M&E Team.

As a Senior Commercial Gas Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing the plant and boiler rooms, ensuring the efficient operation of heating systems within the housing developments. You will also be at the forefront of exploring new energy sources such as air source and heat source technologies to help them achieve the council’s sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant and Boiler Room Management: Take the lead in maintaining and optimising the performance of plant and boiler rooms across the housing portfolio.

Heating System Maintenance: Manage the routine inspections, servicing, and repairs of commercial gas heating systems to ensure their reliability and safety.

Energy Efficiency: Identify opportunities for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions through innovative solutions like air source and heat source systems.

Compliance: Ensure all gas-related work adheres to industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.

Project Management: Oversee installation and maintenance projects related to gas and alternative energy systems, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including service reports, maintenance schedules, and equipment manuals.

Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality services to our residents.

Qualifications:

Valid Gas Safe Register certification.

Extensive experience in commercial gas engineering, including plant and boiler room management.

Knowledge of air source and heat source technologies is highly desirable.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A commitment to safety and sustainability.          

Commercial tickets such as CoDNCO1, BMP1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, TPCP1
