We are working with a respected Local Authority in North West London who are seeking an experienced Repairs & Voids Inspector to join their property services team.

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring the quality of works delivered by contractors across both occupied homes and void (empty) properties. You will play a key role in ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and maintained to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out inspections on contractor works across occupied and void properties.

• Identifying issues such as damp & mould, disrepair, and general maintenance defects.

• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with contract specifications, health & safety requirements, and compliance standards.

• Producing detailed reports, highlighting required remedial actions, and ensuring follow-up works are completed.

• Working closely with contractors, residents, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a Repairs Inspector / Voids Inspector / Clerk of Works role, ideally within a local authority or housing association setting.

• Strong knowledge of building pathology including damp, mould, and disrepair.

• Ability to assess quality of works and enforce contract compliance.

• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

• A customer-focused approach with the ability to deal with residents in occupied homes.
