Braxfield Recruitment have been appointed by a large social housing provider in London who are looking for an interim Mechanical & Electrical Contracts Manager to lead a team managing multiple M&E contracts. The position is to cover long term sickness and is expected to be needed for approximately six months.

The post holder will undertake the contract management of mechanical and electrical services and installations including heating, electrical testing and inspection, lifts, controlled entry/CCTV, communications kit, ventilation, fire management installations & equipment, lighting conductors, barrier gates and access systems.

The M&E Contracts Manager will be responsible for undertaking the management and delivery of the electrical / mechanical maintenance and stock investment contracts throughout the organisation for all housing, associated land and outbuildings. They will be required to work with contractor and consultant partners, colleagues and residents across the full range of resident services, to ensure that customer involvement and resident satisfaction is kept a priority.

All works are contracted out and so our client is looking for someone with extensive experience of managing contractor performance and ensuring that agreed key performance indicators are met and that the expected service is delivered to budget and within agreed timescales.

The successful candidate will be expected to have an HNC in electrical engineering services or equivalent OR be working toward this qualification OR have extensive appropriate experience.
