Braxfield Recruitment have been engaged by a social housing provider based in London to source a Gas Contracts Compliance Manager to join the property services department.

The Gas Contracts Compliance Manager will oversee domestic gas, commercial gas and plant rooms across breakdown, servicing and install works to ensure a continuous outstanding service is delivered to their customers.

With the support of an experience team comprising inspectors, surveyors and an administration function the successful candidate will be responsible for both the planned works budgets and also ensuring that the contractors are delivering the repairs and maintenance service to the agreed KPIs.

The post holder will manage legal obligations applicable to gas safety and water management, ensuring mandatory requirements are fully complied with and be expected to build and maintain working relationships across all group departments, raising the level of awareness and understanding of both gas and water safety.

The Gas Contracts Compliance Manager will be involved in carbon reduction projects identifying new technology and allocating funding to assist the organisation in reducing its carbon emissions.

Ideally you will have a background in social housing, experience of managing a gas team and a track record of ensuring compliance at 100%, managing contractor KPI's and keeping gas data up-to-date.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:

• HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent or be working toward this qualification or have extensive appropriate experience.
• Relevant Accredited Certification Scheme (ACS) 'Gas' Certificates of Competence for domestic, industrial and commercial gas installations.
• Relevant Certificate of Competence relating to the prevention or control of Legionella.
• An in depth understanding of the legal obligation placed upon social landlords in relation to gas and water safety.
