  • Monitoring building safety case files, checking the quality and relevance of the information held and that it is kept up to date.
  • Assuring contractor competency and accreditation on fire safety projects, and carrying out QA checks on completed works for suitability and compliance with fire standards.
  • Assuring routine inspection regimes, works completion and resident liaison and communication on fire safety matters.
  • Supporting and challenging teams across repairs, housing, planned investment, development, asset management and customer services to embed consistent, proportionate fire risk reduction.

  • A demonstrable understanding of fire safety and its application in social housing, building construction, repairs, inspection and maintenance.

  • A can-do, solution-focused attitude with proven problem-solving skills.
  • Experience of keeping accurate compliance records, including data logging and numeric and photographic records, in a digital environment.
  • The ability to travel and a full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Experience in a construction, building or facilities management environment, ideally within social housing or residential management.
  • Knowledge and experience of fire risk assessment methodology, audit and the legislation surrounding fire safety.
  • A good understanding of how fire systems work in building assets, and of fire safety risk management systems in a large organisation.
  • Experience working with government bodies and regulators on fire safety matters.

Package

  • £46,586 - £52,052  per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits.
