Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in Hertfordshire who are currently looking to recruit an experienced Estate Officer on a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all estates and common areas are monitored to meet agreed standards.
You will ensure health & safety inspections and checks are carried out on estates and communal areas, including communal risk assessments and regular reviews. This will also include carrying out initial fire regulation checks and reporting back to the fire safety team.
Using your excellent customer service skills, you will liaise with colleagues on estates maintenance and ensure that repair orders are raised, checked and authorised. These skills will also come in use when assisting customers with queries and responding to customer complaints.
And finally, you will be required to attend meetings and work with contractors to improve service standards, and monitor estates service and ground maintenance contracts.
This role will require you to manage a portfolio of properties around London and Hertfordshire, so access to a vehicle is essential for this role. Car allowance and mileage reimbursements are applicable.
To be considered for the position of Estates Officer you must have the following:
- Previous experience as an Estate Officer.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills.
