Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in West London who are looking to recruit a Technical Officer to manage their electrical contracts and compliance.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day to day administrative support to the Electrical Contracts & Compliance Manager, the building operational teams and end users and ensuring the electrical systems and facilities are legally compliant.

 

Other duties as Electrical Technical Officer will include:

 

  • Responding to requests for electrical related support in ensuring all necessary statutory provisions are correctly and competently executed and cases are brought to a satisfactory and timely conclusion.
  • Providing administrative support that ensures compliance within the defined specifications, across the electronic sector.
  • Providing administrative support during the scoping, installation, commissioning and handover phases to ensure the client requirements are fully met.
  • Actively and effectively contribute to the performance of the sectors service functions and to the achievement of Business plan, Service Plan, individual appraisal and other specified targets.
  • Assisting with the collection and collation of data for statistical surveys, statutory returns, public enquiries and legal proceedings.
  • Providing administrative input into the procurement process required for maintenance contracts, critical spares, and other purchased plant and equipment, including new projects.
  • Collating regular management information reports for the Electrical Contracts and Compliance Manager including budget, general financial updates, the raising of purchase orders and invoice processes.

 

 To be considered for the position of Electrical Technical Officer you must have the following:

 

  • Experience of working within a Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) team
  • A good understanding of all administrative tasks in relation to the team’s remit
  • Good understanding of the processes and management of the Council’s Repairs Management and CRM systems
  • Good understanding of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience of managing the interfaces between client and contractor
  • Experience of maintaining records and minutes of contractual meetings
