Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working within the social housing sector. We have been appointed by a housing provider based in Luton who are looking to recruit an experienced Deputy Accommodation Manager on an interim contract.

 

The successful candidate will support the Accommodation Manager with providing an excellent accommodation service to customers in line with the service standard, operational plan and contractual obligations with the NHS Trust.

 

Other duties as a Deputy Accommodation Manager will include:

 

  • Supporting the local delivery of the operational plans ensuring KPI’s are achieved, contractual obligations met and maximising occupancy and income.
  • Assisting in building the annual site budget, maintaining accurate financial records including accruals/forecasting and complying with financial procedures.
  • Providing sector leading customer service by ensuring we pro-actively manage the needs of diverse residents throughout their stay, delivering a comprehensive site induction, promoting cohesive living, meeting service standards and supporting the delivery of community events.
  • Supporting the annual Drs rotation programme by assisting in managing departures effectively, prompt preparation of accommodation for new arrivals, working closely with the NHS Trust to maximise occupancy in the period.
  • Assisting the Accommodation Manager to deliver the planned, cyclical and major works programme. 
  • Supporting the Accommodation Manager to implement the local risk management controls ensuring customers, contractors, partners and staff live or work in a safe environment.
  • Assisting in maximise income by taking prompt action to manage rent arrears including providing support/signposting, issuing legal proceedings, attending court to give evidence, maintaining accurate transaction records, processing payments efficiently and recovery of rechargeable services.

To be considered for the position of Deputy Accommodation Manager you must have the following:

 

  • Knowledge of housing legislation and requirements for housing in multiple occupation.
  • Knowledge of health & safety and compliance in a residential setting.
  • Understanding of property and housing management key principles.
  • Understanding of Keyworker services including best practice, the regulatory framework and relevant legislation within which Registered Providers operate.
