Job Title: Damp and Mould Surveyor
Location: Northwest London
Salary: £300-£400 per day

Our client, a respected housing association based in North West London, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Damp and Mould Surveyor to join their growing team. As a leading provider of affordable housing, they are committed to providing tenants with quality, safe, and well-maintained homes. Key Responsibilities:
As a Damp and Mould Surveyor, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and resolving damp and mould issues within the housing stock. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough property inspections to identify and assess damp and mould problems.
  • Diagnosing the root causes of damp and mould issues, including identifying building defects and environmental factors.
  • Providing detailed reports with recommendations for remedial works, including cost estimates and work specifications.
  • Working closely with contractors to ensure repairs and treatments are completed to a high standard.
  • Ensuring all works are compliant with housing regulations, health and safety standards, and best practice guidelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and ongoing monitoring of affected properties.

Key Skills & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience in damp and mould surveying or property maintenance, with a strong background in social housing.
  • Experience working within the social housing sector, understanding the unique challenges and regulatory requirements in this environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building construction, damp and mould remediation, and moisture control.
  • Experience in diagnosing damp and mould issues and advising on solutions, including treatment methods and prevention strategies.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and best practices related to damp and mould management in residential properties.
