Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a transformative project? Join our esteemed client as a Contracts Manager, overseeing a Kitchen and Bathroom Replacement Programme. This is your chance to utilise your expertise in project management, procurement, and contractor coordination to improve the lives of residents by providing modern and functional kitchen and bathroom facilities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of the Kitchen and Bathroom Replacement Programme, ensuring timely completion within budget and to the resident’s satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their objectives, requirements, and quality standards for the programme.
  • Develop and implement robust project plans, including procurement strategies, contractor selection, and scheduling of works.
  • Coordinate and oversee multiple contractors, ensuring they adhere to agreed timelines, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the progress of works, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Manage contractual agreements, variations, and budgets, ensuring accurate documentation, cost control, and efficient resource allocation.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective contingency plans when necessary.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among internal stakeholders, contractors, and residents, ensuring their expectations are managed and met.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to kitchen and bathroom installations, and integrate them into the programme.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or a similar role, preferably within the construction or housing sector.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex programmes on time and within budget.
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration, and construction industry practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple contractors, ensuring their performance aligns with project requirements.
  • Proficient in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise with residents, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, analyse costings and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and their application within construction projects.
  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
