Braxfield Recruitment are a leading recruitment agency working in the housing sector, we have been appointed by a housing provider based in West London who are looking to recruit an experienced Contracts & DLO Manager to join their facilities management team on an interim basis.

The successful candidate will report into the Head of Hard Services and will be responsible for running all aspects of both pre-programmed and reactive maintenance of the existing and future Hard Services installations in accordance with good industry standards (based on SFG20), by out sourced and in-house teams to ensure comprehensive compliance with legislation and the management of the efficient operation of the facilities.

Other duties as a Contracts & DLO Manager will include:

• Providing a comprehensive Hard Services maintenance and project management support service to the Council's property portfolio, with responsibility for efficient operation of the Councils properties, whilst ensuring comprehensive statutory compliance throughout the estate.
• Surveying, reviewing and assessing the condition of the Council's installed Hard Services (Building Services and Building Fabric).
• Ensuring and confirming the outcome of Contractors/ staff visits are accurate and assisting the Head of Hard Services in the preparation of the of the forward maintenance plan and the specification of replacements / refurbishments at the end of economic life or as a result of changing operation requirements.
• Specifying, tendering and project managing the remedial / refurbishment works and such project works as delegated.
• Liaising with external agencies and internal colleagues and have the skills necessary to plan your own and your team’s workload, ensuring efficient deployment of resources in conjunction with the work of the wider Property and Facilities team.

To be considered for the position of Contracts & DLO Manger you will need the following:

• Qualified to at least ONC level status in a Mechanical or Electrical (M&E) discipline or have equivalent experience.
• You will have or be working towards minimum of Associate / I.Eng membership of an appropriate professional body such as Chartered Institute of Building Services, the Institute of Mechanical Engineers or the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
• Extensive experience of managing a multi discipline Hard Service contract and in house team for multiple different types of properties with a minimum annual budget of £1m.
• Practical background with formal training / Apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Discipline.
