Braxfield Recruitment have been engaged by a social housing provider based in London to source a Commercial Gas Inspector to join the property services department.

The role will require you to oversee plant room repairs and upgrades, managing the works being undertaken by contractors and post inspecting these to ensure compliance and value for money before sign off.

The person appointed to the Commercial Gas Inspector role will play an important part in ensuring the contractors are working to schedule and to the standard specified in the contract service level agreements. They will be required to have regular meetings with the contractors to keep them informed of assessment results and to work with them to improve processes or quality where necessary.

Ideally candidates will have a maintenance / installation background, have the relevant commercial tickets and be gas safe registered. There is no expectation to fit or repair systems yourself but you must be able to evidence a proven track record in doing this in order to be able to assess quality and identify any potential future issues.

Exposure to the social housing sector either client or contractor side would be an advantage in order to understand the dynamics and regulation in the industry.
