An exciting new opportunity for an experienced Clerk of Works based in South London This is a permanent position paying £44,380 plus an essential car user allowance of £1800. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day quality control on any new developments, refurbishment and maintenance works. You will provide in house technical support and advice of specifications and standards to be achieved.

Other duties will include monitoring internal and external contractors to ensure they meet the require safety standards and providing a high level of customer service to all residents, colleagues and contractors.

Our client is looking for candidates who previous have experience working as a Clerk of Works for a housing provider or local authority.

You must have an in depth knowledge of construction, design and construction relates defects and how to avoid them and have a good understanding of property conditions surveys, analysing data and preparing reports.

Finally, our client is looking for candidates who have a membership of a trades association or The Institute of Clerks of Works (ICWCI), Formal technical training or education in building construction HNC or equivalent.
