Braxfield Recruitment are supporting a local authority in Hampshire that are looking for an interim Asbestos Manager to join the property services team on a long term contract.
The new Asbestos Manager will be required to help pull together all of the work done around asbestos management to date and formulate a robust system to manage it going forward. This will include writing new policies and procedures on asbestos, managing the team of in-house surveyors and overseeing the surveying, inspection and any subsequent required removal through specialist contractors. Our client uses Keystone to manage the flow of information, reports and planned works programmes so experience in using this would be advantageous.
Ideally you are already working within the social housing sector or have had exposure to it in the past with a housing association, council, ALMO or a contractor partnering to one of these. You must hold P402 and have experience of managing an asbestos register.
